The Goliath amongst the Italian pens! As the name implies the Colosseum (Colossevm in Latin) is the giant Delta pen. The pen simply amazes by its look, craftsmanship and size. It is the flagship Delta pen, limited edition from 1998. It is limited to 1926. Delta is no doubt one of the best Italian pen manufacturers. They don't put a lot of out there as many other companies do, but when they do they are rightfully well noticed. The materials used in this pen and their design combination is mesmerizing. The pen is made in a demonstrator style, fully transparent body, but unlike other demonstrator pens which seem as naked and unfinished, this pen is the contrary. The back resin, together with the subtle amber cap rings and front section give the pen an amazing rich look and feel. The pen is massive, full 1.5 cm diameter at the body and 1.85 at the cap. The nib is massive too, size 6.5 and very long. Its a very smooth, EF size but its not stiff, it has a decent flexibility and one can use some pressure to write bigger sizes. The filling mechanism is lever (as all Delta pens), very precise. We have replaced the original black sac with a new transparent silicone sac. This makes the pen fully transparent, even with ink in the sac, and will change color to whatever color of ink is being used. Simply an amazing, all encompassing fountain pen. The pen is in absolute mint condition with minimal signs of use, no scratches or cracks.
