Condition and information:

The pen offered here is one of the rarest pens of the late 60s, the No.32S model, where "S" stands for "Stahl" meaning steel in German. This is the only Montblanc XX pen to feature a steel cap, besides the Monte Rosa pens. The body is made out of black resin. This is one of the biggest pens of the class. Unlike the standard 32 which has a thread on cap, this one is a slip-on cap, identical to the Montblanc model 22 and 24. This feature allows for fast deployment of the pen, ready to write in virtually a second. These models were the start of the new era pens in the early 60s, elongated, with sharp edges, reliable and with focus on functionality and design. The pen is also one of the first with a specifically enclosed wing nib, suspended over an ebonite feeder and the whole nib unit is enclosed in a silicone sleeve. The Precious Black Resin, the signature material of Montblanc, is a specially tempered plastic which gives the pen a unique shine and gloss but also a tough protection, as this material is hard to scratch or damage. Black resin will always shine like new. The pen has a very intricate feeding system, very reliable with a constant and even ink flow. The nib is semi-flexible and smooth, thus with a gentle push while writing it will write up to M medium and produce a variety of styles. When posted due to the heavy steel cap, the pen writes effortlessly and feels very nicely balanced in the hand. Clear see through ink window with a nice faceted surface. The piston is smooth and takes a considerable amount of ink. The pen is in mint condition, with no signs of use.
