After the success of the first Pelikan 120 launched in 1955, the Pelikan 120 type II was lunched in 1973. The line was commission by Pelikan Gunther Wagner Pen Company to the Merz and Krell Pen Company, a company designing and producing parts and pens for various German brands, including Montblanc, Pelikan, Reform and others. This model was manufactured between 1973 and 1977. The Second series has a similar shape and size as the first one, however, this series is modernized, elegant, elongated, more reliable, and most importantly technologically more advanced. This pen is very easy to disassemble and easy to clean. Unlike other pens, one can easily unscrew the entire piston section to clean it; very useful after a period of not using the pen and cleaning excess ink. This is why, this pen is preferred choice for many calligraphers and experienced vintage pen enthusiast for day to day use. The pen takes a considerable amount of ink. The nib is smooth, stainless steel, gold plated, and will never rust or damage. The nib is super smooth great for any work on any paper, from notebooks to invitations, gift cards and so on. Ture EF size, but unlike other steel nibs it has good flexibility, so it will write F, M or even B board. Crisp imprints, both on the cap and ring. Very colorful high gloss body green and back and gold plated trimmings. Extremely well build fountain pen with amazing design. The pen here is NOS New Old Stock, never used item, comes with its original nib sticker.
