Condition and information:
The Parker Centennial and later the International model started their life back in 1987 to be released in 1988 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Parker company. There were only 1888 produced initially as a limited edition, but later the production continued to non-limited edition pen, among which is this one. The International model was introduced a year later in 1989 and complement and eventually replace the Centennial, the difference was that it was just slightly smaller pen, but nearly identical in design as the Centennial model. This pen must be one of the most beautiful Duofolds ever made. It has a unbelievably complex red marble look, the color constantly changes depending on the angle its held. It is a big pen, heavy, with a very thick wall of the resin. These were among the first Parker pens to be produced with super high precision machines, and hundreds of steps and parts involved, and the result is visible. The pen simply stands out in quality, as soon as its held it gives feel and impression like no fountain pen before. Its perfectly balanced with a great grip and feel. The pen is oversize when posted at full 164mm, rarely a pen posted has such length. The nib is oversize, huge, 18K 750 gold, M medium size, very very smooth on the paper with constant ink-flow and fine writing. This is extremely easy pen to use any maintain. Easy to disassemble and clean. It can use any standard ink converter or a standard cartridge; original Parker converter is included. The pen is in perfect mint condition, no signs of use, no cracks, no gold ware of, no scratches, a perfect condition. Simply a superb pen, one of the best ever produced by Parker, unbelievable quality, looks and feel, endurance, design and performance. Everything a great pen should be.
