Condition and information:
This is one of the rarest and highest quality Silvexa pen sets made in the late 1960's and early 1970's. The pens are a rare sub-model of the Silvexa 20 & 21 lines, the M21 line, with black resin bodies and stainless steel brushed cap and upper bodies, silver plated. It is amazing find such a set, NOS condition New Old Stock, never used, still with nib sticker and the original box. The Slivexa pens are renowned for their reliability and build quality. The Silvexa line together with the rolled gold lines were the high-end flagship pens of all M, MK and P series Pelikan pens, which were launched in the early 60's as a new modern, space era inspired pens. The fountain pen features a very nice and precise EF nib 14K gold nib, but a white gold, so it fits the color theme of the silver plated cap. This nib is great for clean and precise writing, such as notebook writing with a small typeface. It has a constant ink flow with no excess ink, very clean pen to write with. The ballpoint pen and the mechanical pencil are "push upper body" with a precise refill deployment, very thought pens, very heavy with great feel in the hand. Same goes for the fountain pen, especially when the cap is posted (placed on top of the pen), since its heavy it makes the pen very easily to write with, with a great balance and feel. All 3 pens have the logo inlay located on the top. Fountain pen features a clear see through ink purple window and smooth piston. This piston system is one of the best piston systems invented by Pelikan, consisting of 8 parts, takes considerable amount of ink and it was marketed as Airplane safe as it did not leak ink in different pressure variations. This was achieved by a special feed system and also an almost airtight cap to body fit. High-quality pens, great appeal, one of the best everyday reliable Pelikan pens.
