Only Montblanc can come up with some of the most beautiful pen names, i.e. Pic-O-Mat. These pens were made only for few years, when the ballpoint multi-color pens became the modern thing to have. They were competing with many established brands in this section, such as Fend, Pelikan, Pilot, Stenax and many more brand. There are only dozen of Pix-O-Mat models, and this is one of them. The pen is chromed steel with 12 sided body and amazing rhomboids guilloche patterns and strait lines. The mechanism is what we call "gyro", which deploys the desired color when the pen is leaned and pressing the upper body. These pens are still hard to match even by today's standards, and are still one of the best pens in the world. The pen features 4 color multi color ballpoints using standard international short refills (new ones of each color will be included). The mechanism is precise and responsive, works perfectly well. Its very heavy and long, longer then most pens of this type, thus providing a perfect fit in the hand and great feel, perfect balance and writing experience. Astonishing writing instrument and a piece of history made by one of the best writing instruments manufacturers in the world. The pen is mint condition, with minimal signs of use, but no scratches or dings.
