Made in W. Germany in the late 60's, this is a very rare lost brand called Stenax, and this model Steno Matic was the company's top of the line product. The company was located at Hamburg, and made some astonishing pens in its few years of manufacturing, after which is was acquired by another pen manufacturer in Germany. This pen is one of the best vintage ballpoint pens in the world. Simply amazing build quality. The pen features an unusual 4 sided body, with intricate barelycorn guilloche pattern. This pattern makes the pen look amazing and reflective. The grip is superb since the pen is very very heavy. One of the best rolled gold finished we've seen. "Walzgold" means rolled gold in German. Rolled gold unlike gold plate does not ware off. Very precise push button mechanism with a distinct clicking sound when pressing the push button. In the brief time this company existed, made some of the best writing instruments in Germany, which are now highly sough after collectibles. This is simply indestructible pen, made to last and endure work for decades. The pen is in NOS never used condition, not a scratch and comes with its original box and instructions.
