This is one of the most recognized pen shapes in the world. If this form looks familiar to you, it's not a coincidence, this pen form is one of the most copied pen designs in the world. You can see this entire form factor, or hints of it in pens made by many pen manufacturers, both from household brands to even generic pen manufacturers.

This pen was first introduced in the 1970s and soon became one of the most popular Montblanc pens. This form factor is still present in various Montblanc models, and this particular model was produced by the mid 1990s. We believe, the pens made from the 1970s to late 1980, bore the “W.Germany”, imprint on the clip, while post-1989 (with the unification of Germany), bore only the “Germany” imprint together with the serial number. Hence, this pen is almost certainly made in the early to mid-1990s.

The Meisterstück collection represents a symbol of unmatched writing instruments craftsmanship. Montblanc is possibly the most notable pen maker of all time, renowned for its outstanding build quality and classic style, especially with its line of Miesterstuck writing instruments which have not changed fundamentally for nearly 70 years. This particular model fits that description since it’s slander in shape and stands out by its design. The pen is crafted in black precious resin with thick gold-plated trimmings. The “Montblanc-Meisterstück” name is engraved on the central ring of the three gold-coated rings.
